Longing

I stared in length
at a star
in a sky of drifting clouds.

It seemed as
another house
with smoke curling above.

I swore it moved
that it had halos
and a spiral rising of flame.

Eyes play tricks
as mean as the heart
especially in the dark.

This blogging is a little more complicated than it seems. This time, I don't mean the technical stuff. I've not yet spent much time on that and have many learning opportunities there... What I mean is the creation part. Usually, when I journal, I try not to think very much. Writing is such a natural flowing out of what we don't consciously think about - at least in journaling I find that to be true. And such truths that are revealed... Blog writing is somewhat different in its inherent consciousness. One usually does think about what they are saying when writing for someone else... But maybe this is more of what I think Jon Husband was talking about in one of his recent blogs (wirearchy.com) ; watching new bloggers grow in their inner reflections... (or something like that?) Hmm... I participated once in a class in women's studies where we did collective journaling. It was so hesitant at first as we shyly exposed ourselves in written form. Gradually our voices weaved together until like a dance it flowed naturally. There was conscious unconsciousness - is that possible? Maybe someone else, at this a little longer than I, has an insight?

Hmmm... to think it is not necessarily to see it be...
